Beyond his academic and professional work, Andrew St. James is a passionate historical novelist. His novel Germaine: Requiem of a Soul exemplifies this, bringing to life the story of Saint Germaine Cousin, a young French shepherdess whose life of suffering and devotion parallels the enduring magic of Cinderella. In the book, Andrew blends historical records with imaginative storytelling, exploring themes of humility, perseverance, and spiritual grace.

St. James resides in a small town in the Midwestern United States with his wife and six children, balancing the demands of family life with his professional and creative commitments.
